Wedding number Six….

The final wedding this year (that I am aware of) was at the end of august. I’ve been swamped with various sporting activities so I haven’t had a chance to blog about it. Sorry about that. Regardless, the wedding was fantastic. It was for Geoff and Ally and it was a wonderful morning celebration at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church located at 230 St. Clair West. The venue was fantastic and filled with so much joy for this couple who finally got married. It was a long time coming!

The reception followed later that evening in Scarborough’s Grand Baccus hall and was filled with games and a delicious 10 course authentic Chinese meal.  We all partied until the late hours and I met a fellow camera person who has a lot of enthusiasm for the craft.  I look forward to discussing potential projects with him in the near future.

Congrats Geoffy and Ally. Here are some snaps:

Wedding number five….

Wedding five took place at my alma mater, Queen’s University.  It was quite surreal being back. Being the fan of nostalgia that I am, I decided to stay in res. Infact I stayed in the same room I lived in back in first year!  Yes lame I am aware but it was just something I figured would be interesting.  It actually turned out to be very strange and creepy.  It felt like I was reliving that very first day I showed up, where nothing was unpacked and the room and rez was empty.   Overall it was a great experience being back on campus again. I haven’t been back for the past few years and there have been many changes that have taken place. I’ll blog more about that later as I still need to go through the actual Kingston photos.

Anyhow back to the topic at hand. Wedding number 5.  It took place at the university club located near the waters of lake Ontario.  The ceremony itself took place in the backyard garden area followed by cocktail hour and reception up in the 2nd floor hall.  All were absolutely stunning and perfectly suited for the couple who I’ve known since my university days.

The wedding proved to be somewhat of a challenge though since I was the best man at this wedding.  This of course meant not being out in the audience taking photos.  I was lucky enough to have a friend there who would take on the challenge however he wasn’t very familiar with my camera.  He took as many shots of the ceremony as he could and I was able to work with those to hopefully capture some amazing memories.   Congrats Nevin and Sara!!! =)

The next wedding is in two weeks and will be in town again.  It’ll be quite the event as I’m sure it’ll be huge.

For how here are some pics from the Kingston wedding:

Wedding number four....

Another beautiful wedding in the books (well as of 3 weeks ago).  Although this one took a while for me to process the photos I finally was able to lock myself in my basement, with a cup (or few) of coffee and just work my way through them.  The scene was a Brooklyn, New York rooftop overlooking the Manhattan skyline. So much potential for photos! Although I didn’t have all the equipment I wish I had, I think the shots turned out pretty well and most important everyone had a fantastic great time!  Congratulations Andy & Lisa!!  It’s always so much fun celebrating with friends on their wonderful day.

Wedding Number Three….

Oh what a party it was that Saturday June 5th, 2010!.  A room full of close friends and family comfortably placed in the Park Hyatt rooftop salon celebrated my dear friends Matthew and Dorothy’s nuptials in fine dining, speeches, dancing and of course…the drink.

The ceremony itself was held in Trinity Chapel located on the  University of Toronto St. George Campus; a beautiful venue with tall ceilings and lots of natural light.  We all eagerly anticipated the marriage of these two high school sweethearts and were surely not disappointed with that days course of events.  The ceremony was traditional and well done and was followed by an easy going evening reception at Toronto’s Park Hyatt Hotel roof top salon.   Located on the 18th floor of the Hyatt and including a spacious outdoor patio, it proved to be quite the photo-op if you wanted to capture Toronto’s skyline as seen from Bloor & Avenue Rd.

The night went by smoothly and everyone had a fantastic time dancing the night away! The official photographers did an awesome job and I’m glad I was able to get a few nice shots too.  I can go on and on about these two but I’ll just get right to some images I took and finally processed.  Yes it took me quite a while to get these up here, but here they are, finally!

Wedding number Two….

Congrats to Kim and Sheldon on their recent nuptials this past Saturday.  The second of the 3 week gauntlet of weddings for friends was another beautiful one.  A wonderful ceremony was held at La Gondola banquet centre for family and friends followed by a reception with delicious food.  Of course I took the opportunity to take a few photos during the course of the night.  Event director Rebecca Chan did a fantastic job pulling this one off and from my perspective it went forth flawlessly.  Once she has her website up and running, I’ll be sure to link to her as she will be using some images in her portfolio.  Since I already started blogging about the first one, I may follow through and blog about all 6 this summer! Here are some images from the evening:
